i played this clip for the kids so they could see all the amazing colors and fun that takes place during holi.
afterwards we made homemade beetlejuice (lime juice mixed with seltzer water and green food coloring, topped with blueberries). we got the recipe from julian's wizard book.
eventually most of the kids' glasses looked like this.
blowing bubbles is inevitable with such cool straws (thanks raquel!).
the rest of the day was spent in the sun at prospect park. such a nice way to welcome spring.
