coco brought in two snowballs from the park which we put inside some tupperware and then added more water... and some dinosaurs! this brought a discussion on fossils and how they are formed...
we talked about germs and how even though we can't see them it doesn't mean they aren't there. to demonstrate this we added cracked pepper (which we pretended were germs) to a bowl of water. i told the kids to gently dip their fingertips into the water and try to scare the germs away by saying "get lost germs!"... to which nothing happened. then we lathered our hands with soap and dipped our fingertips again. this time the pepper magically shot away from their fingers in all directions!
